Just like the summer flowers, our time in Switzerland is coming to a close.

Spent this morning packing our bags. Earlier this afternoon, a service of Swiss came and picked up our bags and took them to the airport. We are thankful we don't have to schlep all our bags onto the train. Yes, I could actually fill five suitcases.

It's always wonderful meeting up with old friends and sharing a meal at their home or at a restaurant.

Many days, Michael and I decide where to travel to depending on what we want to eat. We have our favorite restaurants where they even know "our order" and "our table".

Lighting candles and writing prayer intentions for family and friends is always special and it means so much to us. Michael and I keep you always in our prayers.

Michael and I enjoy trying new things and joining in at cultural events.

Yes, soaking your feet in whey does make them very soft.

Farmers still make cheese the traditional way with a little help.

Next year, I will finally be able to take part in the cheese sharing at the Wengen Chästeilet. Michael and I will be filling out the form when we get home. I hope we will be eligible. I am so excited!!! I have wanted to do this for years. I guess I will be taking home less hot chocolate, chocolate bars, or Kambly biscuits. Really!!!?? I will just have to bring another suitcase.

You always can't take yourself too seriously.

I hear friends my age say they don't enjoy cooking any longer. I'm finally finding cooking to be so much fun. I'm not a creative cook, but I can read a recipe and follow directions. Michael has competition when it comes to Korean cooking. Also, when we get home I can't wait to try my hand at the pistachio fettuccine.

Every year I try to find different things to do or different places to visit. Of course, we took two classes with Sherly again in Zürich. Can't wait to make kimchi and the hand pulled noodles at home.

We visited the Emmental Show Cheese Dairy. We definitely plan to return next year on a sunny day. The area is so green and hilly.

We visited farmers in Habkern. Disappointed we didn't make our own cheese but it was nearly the end of the time the cows stayed up high in the mountains and the farmer needed to make a large wheel of cheese. I did get to soak my feet in whey to make them nice and soft.

Things are old but that doesn't mean they should be neglected. Yes, everything gets a cleaning. Clean, clean. clean......keep everything clean.
