Went to Mürren today. The weather actually turned out to be quite nice.
My favorite photographs today were of the cows and the bees. I could have spent hours photographing them.
We were squashed like sardines on the cable car going up from Lauterbrunnen to Grütschalp.
The view from Grütschalp to Mürren.
They have a new train going from Grütschalp to Mürren.
Getting their share of pollen before winter sets in.
Long legs
Interesting eyes and wings.
Another are you looking at me moment!
I photographed the cows in Winteregg. Winteregg means winter's corner.
Are you looking at me?
Long eyelashes. Bet the ears are soft to the touch.
Since last year, they installed some sculptures, crystals, and rocks at the train station.
Walking through Mürren. Washing down the road.
Quite an old fashion and interesting door bell. Notice the wire goes in the house where it will actually ring a bell.
Still some small patches of snow from last week's storm.
Local restaurants are serving wild game. Sometimes, the hunter's name is included.
Every village needs a lending library.
Edelweiss
Summer blooms trying to stay alive.
Construction continues on the new cable station at the other end of the village. The cable car starts in Stechelberg; changes in Gimmelwald; changes in Mürren, and then goes up to the Schilthorn.
Schilthorn station
What is the cost of those copper sheets????
This is new, too
Were the skis used last week when the mountains had snow and the valleys had rain.?
If you walk past the construction and go to the right up the hill, you will come to our favorite place in Mürren.
I always take a picture of Michael sitting on his favorite bench looking out over the mountains. This is why he thinks this area is "soul quenching".
