I went to Lindt today in Kilchberg. Became a Maître Chocolatier, when I designed my own exclusive "Dubai Chocolate Bar", in the Chocolateria at the Lindt Home of Chocolate.

Dubai chocolate is a popular confectionery consisting of a milk chocolate shell, a creamy filling of pistachio cream and tahini, and a signature crunch from crispy kataifi (shredded phyllo dough) pastry. Butter is used to toast the kataifi to enhance its crunch, and sea salt is often added to balance the sweetness and bring out the flavors of the pistachio and tahini. The combination of these textures and flavors, inspired by the Middle Eastern dessert knafeh, led to its viral popularity on social media. The consistency of the filling ranges from finely ground to a paste. The creamy textures of the pistachio and tahini contrasts with the crunch of the kadayif.

I wish there were a smell attachment as the smell of chocolate is over powering. The seemingly weightless construction holds 1,400 kg (3086.472 lb) of real chocolate.

As weightless as the chocolate fountain may seem, a lot of construction, planning and material has gone into it. It weighs a total of three tons, including 1,400 liters of fine chocolate. This flows through the fountain at a speed of one kilo per second. To make this possible, pipes with a total length of 94 meters were laid inside the chocolate fountain, which is exactly 9.3 meters (30.5118 feet) high.

I arrived early for my class so I decided to see what chocolate goodies were selling in the shop.

There is a huge marketing presence for the Dubai chocolate.

You always have to come up with new flavors.

I kept saying I wanted to meet Roger Federer, the famous tennis player, in Zürich. I had wished in person and not as a projected image on the wall. I can only wish.

You can stand in front of many images and have your picture taken.

I had time before the class so I had the fancy hot chocolate with marshmallows, whipped cream and a dark chocolate piece.

The girl at the next table was from Boston. She tried the ice cream and espresso drink.

I debated trying the Dubai style chocolate sundae.

Class was held on the second floor. We all had to put on our jackets and hat. Today, we had four people to a table. Depending on which table you were at, instructions were given in either German or English. I was at a table with three people from Canada.

Our Instructor demonstrated a procedure and we went back to our station and tried to recreate what she showed us.

The filling was prepared in advance. The recipe is a secret.

We all were able to taste the instructors bar. Then, we also received a bar from the factory so we could compare it to the one we made.

I did have an enjoyable time. I usually take chocolate classes from Cailler but I might have to try another Lindt. class in the future.
