This recipe makes 8 chocolate hearts
Weigh the ingredients for best results
100 grams 64% dark chocolate
8 additional chocolate pieces of 64% dark chocolate
70 grams butter
3 eggs
40 grams sugar
25 grams flour
Preheat oven to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F
Heat the butter in a saucepan on low heat until melted, remove from stove
Chop up the dark chocolate and add to butter until melted
Mix eggs and sugar in a bowl and whisk for one minute
Pour chocolate over egg mixture and whisk everything together
Fold in flour
Prepare mold with butter and sugar
Pour a tablespoon or more of the mixture to cover the bottom of the mold
Place a chocolate piece in each section of the mold
Place a tablespoon or more of the chocolate to cover the chocolate piece
Place the silicone mold on top of a sheet pan and place in the oven.
Bake for 6 to 9 minutes in the preheated oven
Let rest a couple minutes before turning them out of the mold.
Tip to easily unmold the heart lava cake. Place a piece of parchment paper over the mold. Then place a sheet pan on top. Flip over the pan carefully. Then, lift a corner of the mold and carefully pull up and over.
Serve immediately with ice cream, whipped cream, shaved chocolate, fresh fruit or coulis.
